Torrents of rain most of the day – being warm & humid.

On Saturday during our walk along the Niagara river —it came over me all at once how proud & glad I was that I was “I” — that my conception of nature was all sufficient to me —

A shower in the night. It is fresher. The “strange plants” I got at Rock City came out today & proved to be “Clintonia”— a delicate yellow green flower with lemon yellow stamens...

A warm day in May — Memories: a little hill rank with new long grass, and dandelion seed-heads all steaming in the boiling sunlight.

Three full days in the “1917 Ravines” – and brought it pretty well to a finish.

Out for a stroll before noon – the wild flower garden is in full glory still- the trilliums as large or larger than any I have found in the woods...

P.M. B A & I to Buffalo to get suit for Art; none at Kleinhans, but find a suitable one at A.M. & A (just as we bought it, two young men Art’s size came in; but we had gotten the last one)

A dappled moon at midnight – this morning a heavy white sun – rich RV mud & emerald grass – dense haze to east – houses & trees vibrate in it –
