The Art Auction & Gala is the Burchfield Penney's largest annual fundraising event. The Auction features works by over 80 of Western New York's diverse artists. Funds raised benefit local artists and our mission of elevating the work of Charles E. Burchfield and Western New York artists. The Art Auction & Gala Exhibition is now on view!

This new bus tour, presented by Explore Buffalo, will visit the tree-lined streets where Charles E. Burchfield lived, as well as iconic buildings, factories, and railroad yards in the city that inspired his work. Burchfield’s love and respect for nature are central themes in his work. However, Burchfield was also intrigued by Buffalo’s urban landscape. You’ll view Burchfield’s paintings and sketches and hear excerpts from his journals as we visit sites across downtown, including the Electric Building and Genesee Corridor, the places where he lived on the West Side, and the industrial areas such as the grain elevators and the Central Terminal.

In Memory of Chef Tony Vitello
We are heartbroken to share that Chef Tony Vitello has passed on. Chef Tony was a tremendous contributor to the Western New York culinary scene and was beloved for his warmth and humor. He played a vital role in creating Roux Café alongside Jay and Amy Davidson, and we know how much he has meant to Chefs Christy and Chris Dembik. He will be greatly missed, and our thoughts are with his family, friends, and collaborators at this time.
Please note that in his honor, Roux Café will be closed on Thursday, June 11th so that the team may pay their respects. Roux will also be closed on Saturday, June 13th. Thank you for your understanding and support.
