Today – A Cool windy rainy day – sunlit rainy day – sunlit rainy day sky & meadows chock-full of white dandelion seed heads –

All at once top of Dutchmansn Hill turns – red, as if sunlight same from far off  same away from our universe – the vivid orange afterglow last till long after nine o’clock -

Last Monday – (May 22) – To Zoar Valley to make a painting of the old Gothic (Lace Gables) House, with the lilac bush in bloom (as I have wanted to do ever since I first discovered it...

Drive on to Three-Rod Road, just above Milliston, where I painted the "Road in May"

Day spent in nondescript activities – some redding [sic] up in studio – studying pictures – got out a group of 11 pictures to show the pupils at St. Matthew’s church – 

B & I on a belated anniversary celebration— To Niagara Falls, Ont. by way of the River Boulevard. We were in a light-headed mood, and the world seemed to reflect our mood –

The evening is oppressively warm; this years spring has developed too rapidly; a pall is over the sky; to the south a thunderstorm hangs motionless, spreading over the heavens in a huge gray expanse...

A cool grey morning – sunglow in dim east – orioles sporting in the green trees – Clouds commence to break noonwards – odd brown bird in tree on magnolia with song like thrashers – orioles singing...

Seen singly, or in myriad numbers, it is beyond all comprehension. It is as difficult to take in all the glory of the dandelion, as it is to take in a mountain, or a thunderstorm.

Our anniversary. We "visit" and recall the early days of our marriage - and we concluded that our life together has been a good one.
