After lunch, spend some time viewing the art of watercolorist Charles Burchfield and other regional artists.
Recipients include the Arts Services Initiative of Western New York, $10,000; the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, $20,000; Squeaky Wheel, $25,000; the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, $12,500; Burchfield Penney Art Center, $20,000; and White Pine Press, $15,000.
Burchfield used the houses from this location as the backdrop for a comical episode he had witnessed on Delaware Avenue. A woman in a purple coat who was walking her small dog on a leash, would turn and stamp her feet to no avail at the free group of assorted dogs who followed them.
