I am glad that I love such things.

A fine clear March-like day – B & I drive to Wyoming Village via Cowlesville & Attica. Very little snow except occasionally a few remnants on the north sides of hills...

"This morning was bright & cool.  The blue sky, at first covered with yellow and grey clouds, later cleared off; a hard-cold wind was blowing..."

Mr. Kessler said he had a large wood, some of it virgin forest north of East Otto near the Cattaraugus Creek. The very words ‘Virgin forest’ thrilled me and I longed to be able to visit it. 

In studio, working on the 1921 journals transcribing the 1921 walking trip, Keller, Wilcox, Travis & I took along the Ohio River in June.

Saturday night & Sunday at Kenreich’s—I do not find it possible to write even in the privacy of my diary my love for Bertha—to put it down in words would seem to destroy its sacredness. But it has opened up to me ideas the existence of which I never before dreamed.

A bitterly cold gale from the S.W. (with a little snow) that made driving difficult.  To keep straight, I had to pull on the wheel as hard as tho turning a corner...
