Two of the finest movies of the last two years, “A Most Violent Year” and “All Is Lost,” were directed by the same man: J.C. Chandor. But Chandor’s first success was 2011’s “Margin Call.”

Edric Mesmer will read from his Outriders Poetry Project prize-winning collection “of monodies and homophony” at 5:30 p.m. April 10 at the Burchfield Penney Art Center as part of the M&T Second Friday Series.

Philip Burke’s work will be featured at the Burchfield Penny Art Center come spring. His style features bold and vivid portraits of popular culture figures.

Students were inspired to create their own watercolor winter landscape paintings.  They learned when you sprinkle salt on wet watercolor it looks like snow crystals when it dries.
