Artist Shasti O’Leary-Soudant commissioned to create sculpture as an homage to women everywhere
The Pappy Martin Legacy Jazz Collective and Burchfield Penney Art Center at SUNY Buffalo State celebrate the birthday of one of the greatest saxophone players of all time at its annual collaborative three-day John Coltrane festival from September 19 – 21, 2019.
An exhibition looks at the painter’s passion for creating single artworks that would show the passage of time, with its transformations in nature, sound and light effects.
I feel proud of the work that I was able to accomplish and hope that it leads to future progress on the Artpark Archives. Working with the other interns showed me the power of team work because everyone put a great deal of effort into the work that we were assigned.
