These last ten weeks have gone by too quickly. Every day here was an exciting new opportunity to learn about the arts in Western New York, and I am sad that it is time to go.

Since day one of working at the Burchfield Penney I have been provided with a broad array of different projects. But surely every task I engaged with was designed to fit my needs as a museum studies student; whether in the archive or in the galleries I was persistently challenged by the diverse and nuanced tasks at hand.

The Burchfield Penney Art Center is another top-notch art gallery, dedicated to American painter Charles E. Burchfield, but showcasing other local as well as international artists as well.

On Saturday and Sunday, November 1 and 2, the Burchfield Penney docents will be holding the book sale to benefit the Docent Library.

The Coming of Spring is a one-act monodrama for tenor accompanied by flute (piccolo), oboe (English Horn), clarinet (bass clarinet), bassoon, horn, and piano, based on the life, paintings, and writings of Charles Burchfield.
