At late afternoon a big blue bank of cloud spreads over the western sky...

"Remembering the purpose of my walk, I pondered on the abun­dance of my discussion on God recently..." 

Altho it was the first day of the pheasant season, and around Gardenville, the numerous shots sounded like a battle going on, I was not bothered out in the country as much as I feared.

To Niagara Falls – A day full from beginning to end of powerful beautiful impressions.

The usual period of getting over the effects of an exhibition and a trip: trying to pick up my life here again, and get re-oriented so that I can start painting again. 

When I am going to school I am an artist. My expression must come thru  painting not thru writing. The love of nature is still there and the observation of beautiful sights.

The delight of the children in this place thrilled me too. It was late; clouds had obscured the sun; a dull twilight hung over the woods, giving it a magical quality which I never remember experiencing before.

The third of wonderfully fair October days.  My heart seems ever on the point of bursting with the beauty of this autumn...
