Grey smoky November – a cool morning – yellow + ochre rifts in sky that sweeps from N.W. at tiues silver sun in low S.E. Heavy yellow haze –

My brother was speaking of Grafton, a small town near Leetonia, - how formerly it was dangerous for a stranger to come into town – strangely enough it added interest to the small town; how a foreign race turned loose here becomes wild + new.

Walked out from concert at the scattered finish of a light shower.  A bright color western sky - blue violet clouds crimson edged salmon-orange clouds to south.  Sky in low west at dark becoming orange.

Chilly with a stormy overcast sky – rain most of the night –

Flowers still blooming on, if diminishing in numbers and splendor – the longest we have ever gone without a killing frost.

Evening – “Tricks or Treats” youngsters in Halloween costumes.
