Saturday — I spent partly at the Gallery, and visiting a couple galleries. A fine show of Tintoretto’s at Durlacher’s – which gave me a deep feeling of satisfaction. It is only as one grows older, that he can come to appreciate the Old Masters.
By train to Rochester at 7:10 A.M. – the sight of trains moving back & forth, sending forth great fluffs of steam, made one think 'what a wonderful world it is, after all"
