Robert N. Blair was one of Western New York’s most beloved and accomplished watercolor painters.
This essay was written for the exhibition Robert Blair: A Soldier's Portfolio, which was on view at the Burchfield Art Center from August 25-September 22, 1985 is shared here in honor of Memorial Day.
It is above my sofa and has been used as inspiration for redecorating my living room colors and style. My father in law collected Blair’s watercolor paintings which can also be seen hanging in my sisters- in-law homes around Buffalo.
