M. Henry Jones is an animator who uses both simple and cutting-edge technology to engage viewers with his moving images. His cutting edge stop-motion work established his career in the 1970s, creating short animation films for musicians, years prior to MTV and the establishment of what is now known as music videos. Meticulous craftsmanship blended with some punk-rock sensibilities combine to give Jones his unique style. For his exhibition at The Center, we will have a glimpse at his life’s work as well as his newest ongoing project Fly’s Eye Photography where he creates framed phots that animate as you walk past them.
