Growing up next door to the Burchfield family in Gardenville, New York (a suburb of Buffalo), multimedia artist Jackie Albarella was influenced by Burchfield in ways she didn’t fully realize until adulthood. An exhibition of Albarella's landscape photography used video projection and other contemporary technology revealed how she learned to appreciate the natural world through Burchfield's sensitivity. In addition, the artist presented video interviews with Burchfield's friends and neighbors that extend the oral history that captured the artist's personality and actions.
