This collaborative Arts-in-Education Curriculum Project, supported with a grant from the New York State Council on the Arts, partnered the Burchfield Penney and fourth-grade classes in the Kenmore-Tonawanda School District (in Buffalo’s suburbs). An exhibition of prints from the collection was used to gain a better understanding of language arts, the role of narrative and creative writing. Students visited the printmaking studios of artists Barbara Rowe and Peter Sowiski. Students' artwork produced in guided workshops was exhibited in the Education Corridor through February 27, 1998.
