This traveling exhibition, organized by The National Building Museum, examined ways to tame sprawl and promote sustainable development. Broadly speaking, the goals of smart growth are the preservation of community character, protection of open space and the environment, and strengthening of local economics with the efficient use of tax dollars. This exhibition focused on these issues and presented them in a way that encouraged dialogue within the community.
