Buffalo 6 featured the work of six photographers from Buffalo: Michael Bosworth, Shauna Frischkorn, Robert Hirsch, Gary Nickard, Laura Snyder, and VIROCODE (Andrea Mancuso and Peter D’Auria). Roger Rowley, exhibitions program coordinator for the Visual Studies Workshop in Rochester, New York, organized the exhibition. It was the first of a series of exhibition “exchanges” between art spaces in Rochester, Buffalo and Syracuse. Each photographer was represented by a body of work (from 6-20 prints), providing a wide stylistic range with a depth of view to illustrate individual concerns. The exhibition then traveled to Light Work in Syracuse.
