Carson Waterman (Snipe Clan, Seneca Nation, born 1944) is a distinguished painter, draftsman, designer, sculptor, and revered cultural figure for the Haudenosaunee people of the Seneca Nation. A prolific public artist, Waterman’s work can be found throughout the region, with notable installations at the Delavan-Canisius College subway station and Erie Basin Marina in Buffalo, the Allegheny River and Chautauqua Lake Rest Areas along the Southern Tier Expressway, as well as in community centers, nursing homes, and fire halls. His art is prominently displayed at the Seneca Allegany Resort and Casino in Salamanca and other casinos across Western New York. Waterman also designed logos for the Southern Tier Expressway and the Seneca Nation. His work has been showcased in over 50 exhibitions across the U.S., Cuba, and Germany... Born into a large musical family, Bruce “Iron Eyes” Maybee, Turtle Clan/Tonawanda Seneca, was destined for the stage. With over 45 years of professional experience, his bands Peacepipe Mafia, The Iron Eyes Experience among many others have shared the stage with the likes of Jimmie Vaughn, Pat Travers, Molly Hatchet, Vinnie & Carmine Appice, Faster Pussycat, and legendary actor/musician Gary Farmer (Reservation Dogs, Dead Man), just to name a few.
Currently residing on the Seneca Nations Allegany Territory, Iron Eyes is currently working on his first full-length solo studio album of original compositions at MAS Studio in Salamanca NY. When he’s not making music on the stage or in the studio, he enjoys spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Among the younger generation of Maybee music makers, Brett is a multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and nationally syndicated producer/host of The Mainstream with Brett Maybee and Gaënö’ (Seneca for music or song) on Native Voice One: Native American Radio Network. Launched in the summer of 2023, The Mainstream currently airs on nearly 100 AM/FM signals on public radio stations across the US, Guam and the Island Nation of Palau. In 2015 he released his debut EP, Bones of the Ghosts, recorded at MAS Studio.
Currently residing on the Seneca Nations Allegany Territory, Brett’s a married father of 3. In addition to music, for the last decade he’s also a dedicated learner of Onöndowa’ga:’ Gawënö’ (Seneca Language) and actively assists community efforts in language/culture revitalization in the home and community.
