The Burchfield Penney Art Center, in collaboration with Partnership for the Public Good (PPG), presents the Welcoming Spaces Community Art Crawl on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 2 to 5 p.m. The event invites the public to explore dynamic artworks and discover the impact of nonprofit organizations across Buffalo. This project is made possible with generous support from the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo.
Welcoming Spaces is a new initiative that places original works by regional artists into the public-facing spaces of ten local nonprofits. The artworks were first exhibited at the Burchfield Penney, where each partner organization selected pieces that best reflected its mission.
During the Art Crawl, attendees are invited to visit these organizations to view the newly installed artworks, meet the artists, and learn about the vital work each nonprofit performs. Participants can join guided bike or bus tours of select locations or explore the sites independently through a self-directed visit.
The Community Art Crawl is free and open to the public. It will begin at Massachusetts Avenue Project, 387 Massachusetts Avenue. Register for the guided bus and bike tours here.
