Roll, cut, and create. Get your hands dirty and your creativity flowing in this hands-on clay workshop inspired by nature. Participants will roll out their own slab of clay and use a variety of tools to carve and create texture, to custom design on your ceramic tile. Drawing inspiration from a selection of natural imagery, each participant will create a unique work that reflects their personal style and connection with nature. After the workshop, the instructor will take the tiles to her studio for firing in a kiln. Participants will also choose a glaze color, which the instructor will apply before a second firing. Finished tiles will be ready for pick-up at the Art Center in approximately 2–3 weeks. No prior clay experience is necessary—just bring your imagination.
