Delight in filling a summer sketchbook with colors that reveal themselves. Discover lines and shapes that delight us in the summer months. Sketch, draw, paint, or collage what inspires you.
Dates: Wednesdays July 5, 12, 26, and August 2
Times: 10:30 AM-12:00 PM
Fee: Members are free, Not-yet members pay admission
Supplies: Bring a sketchbook, art-making tools, and a portable chair.
Note: On glorious sunny days, the workshop will be outside at the locations indicated above.
When not appropriate to be out, the workshop will be held in the Studio at the Center.
Our weekly sketch adventures will be outside at the Burchfield Penney Art Center or within walking distance.
Week #1: July 5: Center’s Front Yard
Week #2 July 12: Richardson Complex (Grassy area off Forest Ave)
Week #3 July 26: Rose Garden at Olmsted Park
Week #4 August 2: Veranda at the Center
The summer months are a perfect time to create art together and inspire each other. Join Museum Educator, Kathy Shiroki, on Wednesday mornings from 10:30 AM-12:00 PM. Participants meet at the Burchfield Penney Art Center’s front entrance before heading outside together to our inspirational location.
