Summer Residence Artist/Instructor: Jennifer Koury
Save the whites, and paint the depths of constellations. Using intense blues contrasted against the white of your paper, participants will create an ethereal painting of the moon, stars and illuminating light on a landscape. You choose a landscape of mountains or a field of flowers. Bring as many shades of blue that you have, even if they are leaning toward purple or green and drawings and photos you have for inspiration of a landscape.
Supply List:
Photos or drawings of the moon with fields, flowers, trees for inspiration of the evening sky, sketch book, pencils, and eraser, several ¼ - ½ sheets of 100% cotton cold press watercolor paper, watercolors in all shades of blue, even if they are leaning toward purple or green, watercolor brushes and palette, Art Masking Fluid and an inexpensive paint brush to apply the masking fluid or a "Fineline Masking Fluid Pen- Standard Tip", and a clean, inexpensive toothbrush, snack/lunch
