Albarella has received numerous awards including a New York State Broadcasters Award for television, national Telly Awards and the Garden Writer’s of America award for broadcasting. Albarella is an accomplished nature photographer. She has exhibited in numerous art festivals, as well as had one woman exhibits at the American Association of University Women in Rochester, NY, and a multi media, one woman exhibit at the Burchfield Penney Art Center, in Buffalo, NY.
As the founding Executive Director of the Charles E. Burchfield Nature & Art Center in West Seneca, NY, Albarella helped to create the organization, and many of the nature and art programs that continue at that site. Albarella is a lifelong gardener, a member of the Board of Directors of the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Society, Erie County Agricultural Society, the Garden Writers of America and Buffalo Fine Arts Society. She has a regular column in the Buffalo News and gardens her parents original homestead in Gardenville, NY.
