Join a creative and immersive workshop where participants explore the lush, vibrant greens of spring through the medium of gouache. Inspired by Charles E. Burchfield, who blended watercolor and gouache to capture nature’s beauty, participants will learn how to use gouache in a textured, layered technique that brings the freshness of the season to life.
Guided by the artist/instructor Faith Quinn, painting “Golden Hour,” a work focused on the warm light and fresh colors of spring, participants will delve into how gouache works. This workshop will provide you with the skills to capture the vivid hues and play of light found in nature, especially during the magical Golden Hour. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced artist, you’ll leave with a deeper understanding of gouache, a completed work of artwork, and the knowledge of how to evoke the feeling of spring freshness in your paintings.
