An electric blend of indie rock, blues, and pre 1960’s jazz with a touch of blood and a dash of cinnamon, Carina and The Six String Preacher is reminiscent of a modern day Les Paul and Mary Ford with an edge. Formed in 2012 by fusion guitarist/composer Vincent James Mastrantonio and New York City native indie rock singer/songwriter Carina Mastrantonio, the duo spent most of their first year collaborating; seamlessly blending their styles and influences into what later became known as their signature “Jazz Noir” sound.
Joined by renowned Buffalo drummer John Brady, Carina and The Six String Preacher have played at some of the most well-known venues and festivals in the region. The band performed on the M&T rising start stage at the 2013 Lewiston jazz festival and is regularly showcased at The PAUSA Art House. They’ve also been the closing performance at The Glen Falls Art Festival and featured artists at The Stoody Hall Concert Series in Silver Lake Institute, NY.
In 2013, they released their debut album “Liquid Think” at the legendary Sportsmens Tavern.
November 2014, the band put out their first music video titled “Cabin Fever”. They are currently working on a new EP titled “Why You So Wild, Crocodile?” to be released in 2015.
