About the Workshop
Paint, draw, and collage an artist's book based on an accordion structure. Participants will explore mixed media on a flat strip of paper using a combination of watercolor and collage as a background. Additional media can be layered to create your own imagery. Pop-up techniques will be added as a surprise 3D element and then complete your book with a special cover and a closure to be viewed from several perspectives.
Supplies provided: Paper for the book and covers.
Available: Basic bookbinding materials and a variety of specialty papers will be available for use and sharing.
Participants feel free to bring their own basic bookmaking supplies with supplies such as a craft knife, cutting mat, glue stick, scissors, folding tool, watercolors, collage papers, pencils, and markers. No experience is necessary.
