Chris Piontkowski (American, Born 1986) is a Buffalo-based artist known for brightly colored pop art. He studied Media Art & Animation at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh and graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science. As a child, he began reproducing imagery from his favorite cartoons and video game characters. Later on, through college, the influence of street art began to show through his works. His style reflects a combination of retro techniques seen in older computers and video games with modern street and pop art. He enjoys inspiring others and his works are intended to provoke positivity, smiles, and good vibes! Some of Chris' work can be seen in the form of public murals in Williamsville, Elmwood Ave., Eggerstville, and Black Rock.
