In 2015, the UB Anderson Gallery of the University at Buffalo Art Galleries presented Barbara Insalaco: Industrial Buffalo. This exhibition featured Barbara Insalaco’s paintings and drawings of Buffalo industrial scenes executed in the late 80s and early 90s. Insalaco was a student and long-time friend of Robert De Niro, Sr. whose work as exhibited in adjacent galleries.
Insalaco studied art at SUNY Binghamton and SUNY Buffalo. Her work is represented in the collections of the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, Burchfield Penney Art Center, and Columbia-Greene Community College among others.
