In 1970, the Arts Division of Buffalo State divided into three separate deparatments: Fine Arts, Art Education, and Design. Fine Arts received its first official listing in the catalog of the State University College at Buffalo, and also began offereing Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees in Painting, Printmaking, Sculpture, and Photography. The first faculty consisted of the following fifteen members: Robert W. Brock (Chairman), Robert C. Baeumler, John A. Bice, John J. Bishop, Joseph A. Bolinsky, Robert E. Davidson, Frank C. Eckmair, Richard Gubernick, Arthur F. Kleinfelder, Francis R. Kowsky, Leslie R. Krims, Paul D. Martin, Jerome J. Vullo, Paul Wiesenfeld, and Roland Wise.
