American
Born: Ossining, New York, United States of America
Ric Feeney was born and raised along the Hudson River in Ossining, NY. He holds a degree in fine arts from the University of Northern Colorado and post graduate studies in art from SUNY New Paltz.
Feeney spent his professional life as a teacher and a pastor. "I walked away from painting for all of the 30 years I was a pastor," he says. "That was a poorly thought out decision." [1] He has been creating watercolors exclusively since 2000.
Feeney has been a member of several artists' societies and has had paintings juried into shows in California, New Jersey, Georgia, Pennsylvania (International show), Colorado (state Sesquicentennial show) and New York. He is a proud member of the Niagara Frontier Watercolor Society.
Feeney now resides on Buffalo's East Side, where he (along with his daughter and her family) runs Queen City Farm. He is the father of four and grandfather of nine. [2]
