Nava Gidanian-Kagan "paints minimal, fragile moments that strike [her] with their humble beauty of everyday life." (Nava Gidanian-Kagan) Her works are mostly painted from observation, focusing on the way natural light transforms the visual world. She describes that "painting is really the way I see the world. It is my passion and obsession. It is only me and the silence of my study, away from the noise of the world around me, dedicated to my art." Gidanian-Kagan is fascinated by the multitude of abstract forms, colors, and textures, that work together to create a harmonious work. Her works reflect her "personal feminine perspective, within the intimate subject matter of a woman’s interior world." (Nava Gidanian-Kagan)
