Nancy J. Parisi is a photographer and journalist born and based in Buffalo, N.Y. who lives and works in the city's historic Old First Ward. She has devoted much of her career to documenting the notable people, institutions, and events of her community. She studied at the University at Buffalo and at Parsons School of Design in Manhattan, where she earned a Master of Fine Arts.
Parisi is a regular contributor to Buffalo Spree and was a founding staff member of Artvoice, the city's primary alternative weekly, in which she published a photo essay column, "What Has Happened," chronicling cultural and political events, for 15 years. She serves on the board of CEPA Gallery and Hilbert College's Board of Professional Advisers for its Digital and Media Arts Department.
