Muriel Ventura Pontin is a ballet and contemporary freelance dancer based in the US. She is originally from Argentina but is currently living in Buffalo. She has trained and performed with several international companies such as Neglia Ballet, The Washington Ballet, Ballet Arizona, and Canada’s Ballet Jörgen as a Junior Company member. Currently, she dances with Neglia in their yearly performances, such as The Nutcracker and the Spring Gala, and is just about to start a new one-year project with choreographer Minou Lallemand. In addition to dancing and performing, she teaches adult classes as well as younger ages and will now be teaching Buffalo’s inner city youth through Naglia Ballet’s CityDance program. She loves sharing her love for dance with others while teaching and performing. She has experience teaching Ballet, Floor Barre, and Contemporary back in her home country. As a plus from her Ballet and Contemporary knowledge, she is a Floor Barre certified and a Progressing Ballet Technique certified teacher, since she thinks it is very important that we learn how our bodies work and both are amazing compliments to the process of learning Ballet.
