Margaret Martin A.W.S., N.W.S. was born in Buffalo, NY. She was a Boston University graduate, B.F.A., and the recipient of many national awards. Formerly a graphic designer and advertising art director, she was a full-time painter as well as an invited guest instructor for North American watercolor seminars.
She also juried national and regional exhibitions and was the author of No More Wishy-Washy Watercolor, published by North Light Books. Margaret was a signature member of American Watercolor Society, National Watercolor Society, Midwest Watercolor Society, Knickerbocker Artists USA, among others.
Many of her works are included in corporate, public and private collections including the Taiwan Art Institute Museum and Universal Studios featured her "Urban Tapestry" painting in their "Bruce Almighty" movie.
Listed in Who's Who in American Art, her work has been included in numerous books and publications including: Watercolor, Spring 2004, Splash 1 & 2, Watercolor Magic, 1996, The Best of Floral Painting by North Light Books, and numerous books by Rockport Publishers.
