Luke Copping is a commercial and editorial portrait photographer. Born in Brampton, Ontario, Canada, he moved to Buffalo, N.Y., with his family in the mid-1990s. He studied advertising photography at RIT and graduated in 2003. Copping's work has been used by clients around the nation, including Forbes Magazine, Reuters, the Albright-Knox, NBC Sports, ADWEEK, and Golf Digest. The American Society of Media Photographers named him one of their best photographers of both 2011 and 2015.
Copping notes, "A lot of my recent work focuses on the creatives and entrepreneurs who are busting their asses to make this Rust Belt city great again. … I believe that photography is more than just a technical exercise, but a synthesis of vision, moment, process, and insight that illustrates and amplifies something about the subject they may not have even known was there."
