Legba Graphics
Legba Graphics is a collaboration between William and Christa who have been creating full scale installations since 2014. With backgrounds in Architecture and Design, both have a strong ability to conceptualize and implement projects from conception through fabrication. Both William and Christa are interested in how using everyday materials in unexpected ways can incite joy and curiosity in viewers.
In collaboration, they completed three full scale installations for Art Play/Ground: Into the Void (2018), Pipe Dream (2020), and Drop Ceiling (2021). Into the Void, use a series of telescoping colorful boxes to create a surprising landscape in an historic classroom. Pipe Dream weaves construction rope through slotted angles to create an intricate arcade of utilitarian materials in a vacant city lot. Drop Ceiling extends the beautiful waffle grid of the Broadway Market parking garage towards viewers with a fabric sculpture.
