Kathleen Dworak began drawing at a young age, but it was not until college that she began to pursue a career as an artist. After college, she studies in the Berkshires with artist Dot Huntley. She continued her art education at home in Western New York as she studied with artists Bettie Zoschke, Susan Webb Tregay, Linda Kemp, Janet Walsh, and others.
Dworak is a signature member of the national Missouri Watercolor Society, a member of The Buffalo Society of Artists (BSA), a signature member of the Niagara Frontier Watercolor Society, a member of the Transparent Watercolor Society of America and the Buffalo/Niagara Arts Association. She has exhibited her watercolor works in many juried shows, both locally and nationally. Her work is in collections across the country (including collections in Hawaii, California, and Florida), as well as in Canada and the United Kingdom.
Recently, Dworak was awarded the Gold Medal (Best of Show) Award for the Buffalo Society of Artists' 117th Annual Catalogue Exhibition, Best of Show for the 2013 East Aurora Outdoor Fine Art Exhibit and Sale, 1st Place in the 55th Annual Allentown Art Festival, and 1st place in the 2012 East Aurora Outdoor Fine Art Exhibit and Sale.
