Gerardo Tan is a visual artist. Working with a variety of media including found objects, paint, video and sound, he creates work ranging from installations, artist books, collage and mixed media paintings. His work explores representation, blurring the line between transcription and transformation in vision and process.[1] Tan received his BFA in Painting from the University of the Philippines and his MFA in Painting from the University at Buffalo as a Fulbright Fellow. His work has been exhibited internationally in venues in the Philippines, California, Austria and Buffalo, among others.
