Elizabeth Lyons is a sculptor and designer who works in glass and other materials. She was born in Rochester, N.Y. and received a BFA in sculpture and glass from Alfred (N.Y.) University in 1982 and an MST from RIT in 1989. She relocated to New York City for 10 years and then returned to Rochester, where she founded More Fire Glass Studio in 1998, providing a space for artists to produce work in glass and for the community to learn more about the medium.
For her contribution to the Burchfield Penney's Art in Craft Media 2013 group exhibition, Lyons received the Margaret Mead Merritt Award.
