Edmondo Quattrocchi

Edmondo Quattrocchi assisted sculptor Charles Cary Rumsey. Following Rumsey's tragic death in an automobile accident in 1922, he wrote a biographical text for widow, Mary Harriman Rumsey in 1923. A copy of the manuscript is in the Charles Cary Rumsey Archives of the Burchfield Penney Art Center, and his bronze bust of Rumsey is in the Center's collection.
     According to the Luce Artist Biography, posted by the Smithsonian American Art Museum, "Italian-born Edmondo Quattrocchi was acclaimed for his sculpture busts, monumental public statues, bas-reliefs, and medals. He also enlarged and carved stone sculptures for other artists, including Daniel Chester French and Frederick MacMonnies."
