Dana Hatchett

Part of an important Western New York artistic family, Dana Hatchett was born inTulsa,Oklahomain 1956, and received classical training in the arts, studying with such notable art historians as Irving Sandler and Josef Albers’ assistant. He earned a B.F.A. in painting at SUNY at Purchase in 1980, became a candidate for a B.A. in English and philosophy at Buffalo State College in 1987, and received an M.F.A. in painting at SUNY at Buffalo in 1992.
