Media maker Armin Heurich studied at the Center for Media Study at SUNY Buffalo. Upon graduating with a BFA in 1985, he served as the first technical director of Squeaky Wheel in Buffalo, where he worked first with executive director Julie Zando and then with Cheryl Jackson. He was involved with the Media Coalition for Reproductive Rights (MCRR) and the 8mm News Collective during this time. He later worked at Buffalo's Cable Access facility (BCAM) and Hallwalls before returning to the University at Buffalo to pursue a Masters of Library Science. He has been a Teacher-Librarian at Ithaca High School since 1997.
