Alice Wadowski-Bak is a local artist known for her Polish folk art, who was raised in Niagara Falls. She received her BA from the Albright School of Art. During the 1970s, she served as Artist-in-Residence for over 10 years at the Polish Community Center in Buffalo. Using many different media, such as wycinanki, traditional paper-cuts, drawing, painting, and various other crafts, Bak demonstrates the Polish-American culture and traditions. She also offered numerous classes and programs through the Polish Community Center, the Albright Knox, and ArtPark. She also had several famous commissions, and one of her more famous works, History of the Church in the Americas, is on permanent display in the Vatican.
