Adele Becker was a Western New York artist. She has been an active member of the Buffalo Society of Artists for over four decades. She has exhibited both as a solo artist and in group exhibits throughout the area for as long. Her first major solo show in Buffalo opened in 1976 at Gallery Without Walls to much acclaim. She is mainly known for landscapes, both in oil and watercolor. Her work has been called warm, sentimental, and beckoning. The Burchfield Penney Art Center's Archives holds copies of correspondence between the artist and Charles Rand Penney on behalf of herself as an artist and as a member of the BSA.
