Artists’ Statement: This piece symbolizes the weight we carry from the pressures of everyday life. It is monolithic in design, closely representing those in Europe and Easter Island. While on the contrary, the form being upheld represents different sides of our lives using Japanese symbolism to depict the juggling of responsibilities from family to career.
