"From the artist: I had a chance to work with the Manufacturing, Technology, & Engineering Materials Laboratory at Corning, incorporated a few years back to document the undoing of various cup shapes in a specialized kiln where one could watch what is going on inside when the kiln is hot and active. And we were able to film those tests"
