Joshua Feast, 22, was shot by police on December 9, 2020 in La Marque, Texas. He was born and raised in Texas, and was very close with his family, especially his children, who all described him as energetic and full of laughter. Some of Feast’s hobbies included boxing, reading, and spending time with his family.
Breonna Taylor, 26, was shot by police on March 3, 2020 in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan and then moved to Louisville, Kentucky where she became an integral part of the community where she lived with her boyfriend. Taylor was an award-winning EMT for two hospitals and she worked as an essential worker during the COVID-19 pandemic. Taylor spent most of her life helping others.
Dolal Idd, 23, was shot by police on December 30, 2020 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was born to Somali immigrant parents in Eden Prairie, Minnesota where he spent most of his life. Idd had ten siblings who all described him as sweet and shy. Growing up, he helped care for his siblings and loved playing video games and basketball.
Tamir Rice, 12, was shot by police on November 22, 2014 in Cleveland, Ohio. He was born and raised in Cleveland and was a competitive sixth grader who liked to draw, swim, and play sports, especially basketball. Rice was survived by his family, many friends, and classmates.
Andre Hill, 47, was shot by police on December 22, 2020 in Columbus, Ohio. He was a father and grandfather. He was a skilled soul food chef and had been working for years as a restaurant manager with dreams of opening his own restaurant one day. Hill was a proficient chess player and made many friends through playing the game.
