Martha Visser't Hooft (1906-1994)

Rock Story won "The Buffalo Courier-Express Award" for an oil painting plus a $100 award in the Twenty-Fifth Western New York Exhibition presented by the Buffalo Fine Arts Academy at the Albright Art Gallery in Buffalo, New York from February 4 through March 8, 1959. As checklist no. 134, the painting of a sports field illuminated by three sets of bright lights is illustrated on page 11 in the exhibition catalog.
