April 12 – Thursday ‒

            A brooding day, with overcast sky – rain developed by mid-afternoon.

           All day on the “Presence of God in a Woods” (formerly Eye of God in a Woods) – I had to eliminate many things before I could really begin to paint – Bertha came out about 3:30 to see the progress – She thought it was a beauty –

            Bedtime music – the Garden of Gethsemene [sic] music from Bach’s St. Matthew Passion.

            Called Art & Vi at 10:00 – we could not figure out whether he was coming Friday or Saturday – it is Saturday.
