"This installation is a curated display of new and old works of fashion construction. As each piece started from raw idea, to a sketch, and into material fabrication, the name and phrase “Made By Mek” embodies my creative process of actualization. This display serves as only a snapshot of the creative evolutionary phases of my arts practice, a mashup of big-thinking, fine art and fashion.

Experimentation is a bold ally which elevates each successive design into new possibilities and expanding boundaries. Certain applications and techniques appear as signature motifs in style and creative approach, suggesting familiarity between pieces.

Each piece offered in this display is a testament to curiosity and courage to work through doubts and fears; finding answers and solutions in both life and art, as they reflect one another often." —Emeka Wajed
